I wave my hands in front of my face. "Oh certainly not! But bring wine. I feel... faint!"

Belu trots down with wine in a mug and gives it to you. Fiach and Alwin help you to sit.
"There, Dominus." Fiach fans you with one of the fans from your litter.
Your bearers stand menacingly near the gate to Desolation Row.
"Dominus?" asks Jax. "Is there anyone there?"

I grab hold of Petronius' hand and summon him. 10, 9, 9, 8, 8, 7, 7, 1 (he is well and truly summoned!)

I swoon but bravely rally my spirits!

Petronius shimmers over the scene of his slaughtered body.
"Haruspex?" he asks. "What is happening? I was ... dead..."

"Petronius, I am so sorry, yes you have passed on." I'm having trouble holding back tears. "You must tell me, what happened here?"

"I was sitting here, reading over some of my lines..." Petronius gestures to the bed. "When the door burst open, and four men swarmed in. They did not even speak to me, just attacked. I am--was," he amends, "stronger and hardier than most people, thanks to Anak-Sa'ir, but they matched me. They outnumbered me and slaughtered me... like a dog..."
He sighs a ghostly sigh. "And that they knew to come for me, that they were like I am--was--I can only assume they were coming for Anak-Sa'ir..."

"You think they were thralls? Can you describe them to me? Did you know any of them?"

"They were maybe Jarad or Faror?" he says. "It was quick, and I hardly got a good look at their faces. I do not think I knew any of them, but I am sure they were thralls."

"Thank you good Petronius. When we find your master, is there anything you'd like me to tell him?"

"Tell him ... tell him I tried?"

"I will. Rest well." I dismiss him and begin looking over the scene. Can I determine anything? While I'm looking "Caoimhghin, he said there were four men, Jarad or Faror, he thinks they were" I glance around at the people gathered ". . . like Petronius himself was to Anak Sa'ir."

You are able to determine that the four assailants made it into the adjoining room and into the cellar from there.
Presumably, Anak-Sa'ir actually slept in the cellar, but you learn nothing more.
