I rise with a smile and embrace my uncle. "Hail, Lord Belisarius, Head of the Antonian Ventrue!"

Belisarius returns the embrace. "Thank you, Quaesitor."
(This Council is going to last multiple nights. There will be more announcements on the following nights, too, so feel free to spend time chatting with people, and if you want to talk to people privately, on this night, you may start a thread for that in your own forum, assuming you don't already have an open one.)

I glance at Nicepherus to gauge his reaction, and I'm also taking a look at Alfonzo, hoping to glean something of his mood.

Nicepherus, his eyes flickering black, stalks out of the room.

I catch him with the hard flint of my Greek eye.

(Sending via Discord, Diocles)
Mica Vykos, the Tzimisce Quaesitor, approaches you, Sir Roland. "I think a dance would go well now."
Lady Alexia sweeps toward Chrysalia, and kisses her on both cheeks. The Muses gather to congratulate Belisarius.

I follow in the Lady Alexia's wake, and kiss Chrysalia's cheek. "Ah, my dear Lady, you are as lovely as ever."

Chrysalia presses your hands, Aida, and those of Lady Alexia. "My darlings," she says. "Thank you! It is a delight to see you here, and your new childe! Layla of the Lamps?" Chrysalia, in her typical gracious fashion, nods to include Layla in the pleasantries.

"Yes." I smile and bring Layla forward. "As ever, it is a pleasure for us to all meet again, and I am, as I am sure we all are, looking forward to what next this Council will bring." I give Alexia a small smile towards the end of my speech.

Lady Alexia inclines her head toward you, Aida, smiling warmly. "I am sure that this Council will be one to remember."
Layla takes Chrysalia's offered hands, smiling and nodding.
Then the Muses descend upon Chrysalia, sweeping her off to talk with Belisarius and Petronius, though the other Muses are never far away.

"Quaesitor, I would be honored. I will prepare something suitable. Give me just a few minutes?" I quickly put together in my head a theme of family where dancers initially start out dancing alone. The steps are designed to take the dancers around the room almost, but not quite, bumping into one another, then they become pairs, triads, quads and so on until the room is dancing in unison. Hopefully this can remind the Ventrue house of the importance of moving together and not in opposition.

(Roll Cha+Performance, Roland)
The dance begins, and the participants comprise nearly all the guests, but the Heads of the Houses--and oddly, Pakourianis, are absent.

The themes and the dance itself are both meticulously executed, the dance itself a magnificent work of art.
The participants all do their parts, portraying Sir Roland's vision, though as with his last dance at the previous Council, there are Kindred whose parts a bit more ... involved than he had intended!
Gallasyn ends up naked by the end of the dance, for one.

I glance around for reactions. This doesn't seem at all appropriate for a public dance! Are the Kindred surprised by his nakedness? Is this what Roland intended? Many questions are going through my mind.
