I watch closely what is transpiring between the lovely Lady Chrysalia and Caius, Emperor of the Night. I do not trust his words and intend to keep a watchful eye on him this evening; a task made somewhat simpler given his fraternisation with Chrysalia.
I nod to Sir Roland and echo Chrysalia's previous question, "Yes, I do hope that you will grace us with another one of your most lovely dances this evening."

"I would be most happy to! Are we prepared now?" I say addressing the heads of the houses.

Petronius bows slightly toward you. "Sir Roland, we await your pleasure. Lead us in one of your Frankish dances."
Caius nods, looking down his haughty nose at the Courtly knight. "Yes. I'm curious as to what your dance will reveal this time."
So, the Emperor has heard about the nature of your dances...

I remain by the Emperor's side, for he has promised to partner me in this first dance.

I speak to the musicians and then begin instruction in the dance. It is meant to move from each dancer dancing singly into more complex and beautiful patters that end up with all dancing in triads. This is to reflect the harmony of the three houses and the potential beauty when they can work in complexity together.

I bow with a smile and a courtly flourish to Aida.
"Dear Aida, would you do me the honor of sharing in this dance with me? Perhaps we can find a third?"

I curtsy and smile. "I would be honoured, my dear Alexios. Let us to the floor with the other dancers, then." I hold out my hand for Alexios to take. "Perhaps we might find the little Zoe, unless she is already with her partners."

Zoe returns from wherever she'd gotten off to, and she hangs on her Sire's arm. "What did I miss? Are we going to have a dance now, Sir Roland? I think we're all assembled!"

I glance from Caius to Pakourianis. Though I am to begin with the Emperor of the Night, if we are to form triads, I would like to dance with the Dove!

"I think we will be starting soon. Join us, Zoe, if you're free." I smile wryly and hold out my other hand for Zoe to take.

"Sir Roland?" It is the host, Petronius the Arbiter, who speaks. "Are you ready? Is there any parting instruction you would give before you launch us on this dancing voyage?"

"Yes, let me instruct you and then we shall begin." I provide the group with the appropriate instruction on the steps and movements.

Though it is not the equal of some the dances that Sir Roland has orchestrated, it is a solid success.
The dancers find their steps starting isolated, individual, growing and glorying in their personal beauties, but as the dance progresses, the intricate steps draw nearer, intertwine, and first in pairs, then in triads, formed by pairs meeting, splitting, forming and reforming, until each dancer is partnered with two others, and the final movement of the dance is the repetition of the first movement, the same individual graces, but highlighted, advanced, because each "individual" is a triad of vampires.
